It has been said that, at it's best, preservation engages the past in a conversation with the present over a mutual concern for the future.- William Murtagh, First keeper of the national register of historic places
The historic Harrington School and Studio Theater will be an arts campus, housing 68,000 sq. ft. for education, rehearsal, and performance, a 238-seat studio theater and event space, and a beautiful open lobby and terrace.
The Harrington School was completed in 1903 and is on the National Registry for Historic Places and is considered the birthplace of public education west of the Mississippi. The new facility will be the solution to the outstanding need within Utah County for space used to educate, rehearse, and perform. Through the synergy that will come in sharing the designed space, arts organizations will have the flexibility to explore new projects and mediums through collaboration.
